Cable plug breakage

Can cable breakage be prevented?

The cable for in-ear monitoring is an important component of the entire in-ear system. However, too little attention is often paid to it. What are the problems with damage?

  • Cable breakage that is not visible is often caused by improper winding or pinching when closing the box.
  • 3.5mm jack plug with loose contact is often triggered when you pull on the cable to unplug it from the body pack or if there is too much tension on the cable.
  • 1 or 2 pin plug breakage or the cable slips easily out of the cable socket. This happens with incorrect handling, usually the musicians pull the earphones out of the ear by the cable. The material becomes tired and the socket expands. Over time, the PIN can break off, regardless of whether it is 1 or 2 PIN.
  • It is not always necessary to remove the in-ear monitoring completely from the ear to get a brief impression of the surroundings. Removing the earpiece is usually sufficient. Watch the explanatory video and I will show you how you can easily and quickly lever it out of your ear.
