Vision Ears In Ear Production

How does Vision Ears build an in-ear receiver?

Vision Ears is a Cologne-based company that specializes in the development and production of high-quality in-ear monitors. Production is carried out using 3D design & printing, as well as meticulous manual work and involves several precise steps:

  1. Ear impressions:
Individual ear impressions are created for custom-made in-ears to ensure a perfect fit. These come from retailers such as Earline AG. Earline takes physical ear impressions with silicone and then scans them with the 3D scanner and transmits the data to Vision Ears.
  2. Modeling:
The ear impressions are digitized (if the retailer cannot do this himself) and are then converted into 3D models that serve as the basis for production.
  3. Housing production
Using the 3D models, the housings of the acrylic in-ears are produced with the 3D printer.
  4. Assembly
Carefully selected drivers and electronic components are installed in the housings to achieve the desired sound character. All wires and cable connections are individually cut and soldered according to the size of the ear cups.
  5. Finishing
The surface of the in-ears is sanded and polished and customized with individual customer designs or engravings to make them both aesthetically pleasing and functional. Finally, the entire earpiece is lacquered to give it its elegant shine and make it easy to clean. The result is a smooth surface.
  6. Quality control
Each pair undergoes rigorous testing to ensure that they meet Vision Ears' high quality standards. Each earpiece is also measured to check that the desired frequencies match the sound design.

This craftsmanship enables Vision Ears to offer in-ear monitors with excellent sound quality and a perfect fit
